The Application of Nipagin in Food

Nipagin is the international recognized safety, high efficiency, widely uses food preservatives. Since the 1920 Nipagin's antibacterial activity was first reported.
In 1923, Nipagin is recommended for food and drug as preservative. In 1932, Nipagin was officially approved to be used in food. Meanwhile, Nipaginis also used in medicine and cosmetics as preservative. Pure ester is tiny colorless crystal powder, almost odourless, slightly acerbity, no hygroscopic, slightly soluble in water, soluble in ethanol.
